Kirkland Lake Residence Damage Policy
General Statement
At Kirkland Lake Residence, we strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests.
To ensure the well-being of our property and its amenities, we have implemented the following damage policy.
By booking a stay at Kirkland Lake Residence, guests agree to comply with and be bound by this policy.
Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is required at the time of booking to cover potential damages.
The deposit amount will be specified in the booking confirmation and will be refunded within 5-7 business days
of the check-out date, provided no damage or loss has occurred.
Reporting Damages
Residents are required to report any damages, breakages, or malfunctions immediately to the Kirkland Lake Residence staff. Failure to report damages promptly may result in additional charges.
Assessment and Charges
Upon check-out, a thorough inspection of the room will be conducted.
If damages are identified, the cost of repair or replacement will be assessed and deducted from the security deposit.
In the event that the security deposit is insufficient to cover the full extent of the damages, the guest will be responsible for the remaining balance.
Types of Damages
Damages include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Physical damage to the property, furniture, or appliances.
• Stains or excessive dirt requiring professional cleaning.
• Lost or stolen items.
• Any violation of the property's rules and regulations leading to damage.
Guest
Liability
Guests are personally responsible for all damages caused during their stay, whether intentional or accidental. This includes damages caused by their invitees or visitors.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is strictly prohibited within the Kirkland Lake Residence. Guests who violate this policy will be subject to additional cleaning fees, starting at $200 + HST.
Excessive Clean
If the room requires excessive cleaning beyond the normal wear and tear, an additional cleaning fee may be charged to the Resident.
Disputes
In the event of a dispute over damages or charges, Kirkland Lake Residence reserves the right
to retain the security deposit until the matter is resolved.
